SimplChek Navigation Tips

Understanding where modules are located and following a consistent workflow improves productivity and ensures that operational activities are properly tracked.

Start from the Dashboard

Always begin your session from the Dashboard. It provides a real-time overview of:

  • Total Tasks
  • Tasks In Progress
  • Submitted Tasks
  • Completed Tasks
  • Total Actions
  • Total Issues
  • Compliance & Quality Metrics
This helps you identify what requires immediate attention.

Learn the Main Navigation Structure

Web Navigation
  • Dashboard – Operational overview
  • Setup – Organization and user configuration
  • Checklist – Create and manage templates
  • Tasks – Execute inspections and audits
  • Action Plan – Manage corrective actions
  • Issues – Report and track operational issues
  • Analytics – Review performance and compliance trends
  • Settings – User and system preferences

Mobile Navigation

  • Home – Dashboard summary
  • Tasks – Assigned inspections and audits
  • Library – Available checklists
  • Action – Corrective and preventive actions
  • More – Additional features and account settings

Follow the SimplChek Workflow

For the best experience, follow the platform's operational flow:

Library → Checklist → Start Task → Complete Task → Submit → Actions/Issues → Dashboard → Analytics

Avoid jumping randomly between modules, as this can make it difficult to track progress and outstanding work.

Use the Tasks Module Correctly
  • Open Tasks to view assigned work.
  • Check In Progress tasks first.
  • Use Completed to review finished inspections.
  • Submit tasks promptly to keep dashboard metrics accurate.

Use the Library as Your Starting Point
Remember that tasks are typically started from the Library:
  1. Open Library
  2. Select a checklist
  3. Enter the Due Date
  4. Select the Site
  5. Click Start Task
This is the fastest way to launch a new inspection or audit.

Use Filters Instead of Scrolling
When working with many records:
  • Filter by Status
  • Filter by Site
  • Filter by Due Date
  • Filter by Priority
  • Filter by Assigned User
Filters are much faster than manually searching through long lists.

Check Status Indicators Frequently
SimplChek uses status indicators to help you monitor work quickly:

Status           Meaning
To Do              Not started
In Progress  Currently being worked on
Submitted     Awaiting review
Completed    Finalized and approved
Rejected         Requires correction
Understanding these statuses helps you prioritize your daily activities.

Mobile Navigation Best Practices
  • Use Home for a quick operational summary.
  • Use Tasks for field inspections.
  • Use Library when you need to start a new task.
  • Use Action to update corrective actions while on-site.
  • Use More for profile and support options.

Save Time with These Shortcuts

1. Continue Unfinished Work
Home → In Progress → Select Task

2. Start a New Inspection
Library → Select Checklist → Start Task

3. Report a Problem Quickly
Issues → ➕ Plus → Report Issue

4. Update a Corrective Action
Action → Select Action → Update Progress

Best Practices
  • Begin each day by reviewing the Dashboard.
  • Complete In Progress tasks before starting new ones.
  • Use clear comments and evidence when submitting tasks.
  • Keep actions and issues updated regularly.
  • Return to the Dashboard after completing major activities to confirm that metrics have been updated.

Common Navigation Mistakes to Avoid

Looking for Tasks in the Library
The Library stores checklists; active work is found in Tasks.

Using Mobile for Complex Administration
Administrative configuration is easier and safer on the web platform.

Ignoring Dashboard Alerts
Outstanding tasks, actions, and issues are often visible on the Dashboard and should be reviewed regularly.

Leaving Tasks Unsubmitted
Tasks that remain In Progress do not appear as completed and may affect reporting accuracy.

Daily Navigation Routine
A recommended daily routine is:
  1. Dashboard – Review priorities
  2. Tasks – Complete assigned inspections
  3. Issues – Check for new or overdue issues
  4. Action – Update corrective actions
  5. Dashboard – Confirm progress and completion metrics
This routine keeps your SimplChek workspace organized and ensures that inspections, actions, and issues are processed efficiently.

Summary
The fastest way to navigate SimplChek is to start from the Dashboard, use the Library to launch new tasks, manage active work through Tasks, track problems in Issues, update corrective actions in Action Plan, and return to the Dashboard regularly to monitor operational progress and compliance performance.
